Notifications
Open system Settings, find Söz, and choose Notifications to allow or disable reminders. Turning reminders off does not affect lessons or saved progress.
Photos, camera and sticker consent
Select a sticker photo through the system picker or allow the camera when taking a new photo. Exporting an image can require Photo Library add access. Review Camera and Photos permissions in system Settings. Söz does not scan your entire library. In Söz settings, revoke cloud-recognition consent to stop new sticker creation and pending-save recovery; existing stickers remain available. Deleting a sticker keeps a recoverable local copy and does not erase server quota or save records. Email hello@getsoz.com for help with those records; the Privacy Policy describes their retention.
Local learning data
Deleting Söz removes its local app data from that device. Before deleting, remember that progress which has not synced may not be recoverable.
iCloud learning backup
If iCloud sync is available, key learning data may remain in your private iCloud storage after the app is deleted. You can disable iCloud access for Söz and use Apple’s available iCloud storage controls to remove app data. Setting names vary by operating system version.
Android system backup
Android backup or device transfer may retain allowed Söz preferences and the local Room learning database under your Google Account and device settings. Manage or remove that system copy through Android and Google backup controls.
Analytics and word reports
Analytics is off until you explicitly allow it in Söz. If enabled, Söz uses Mixpanel for anonymized product analytics, limited diagnostics, and the structured word-report action. Mixpanel does not receive the advertising identifier, answer text, or your optional profile name. You can change the choice at any time in Profile → Settings → Analytics & diagnostics; turning it off stops future events.
Android advertising privacy
Google Mobile Ads and optional Mixpanel analytics use separate choices. Söz requests any regional UMP choice only after onboarding and requests no advertisement before then. Where Google makes its privacy-options form available, reopen it from Profile → Settings → Advertising privacy. The 13–17 range and a skipped age receive conservative under-age ad treatment. Changing the analytics switch does not change Google’s advertising choice, and changing the advertising choice does not change Mixpanel analytics.
Pro access by platform
Apple manages App Store purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds; use Restore Purchases if access does not appear. Android has no Söz Pro purchase: an optional rewarded ad unlocks Pro for 3 hours.
No account to delete
Söz does not create a user account, so there is no account deletion request or web login. We generally cannot identify device-only, private iCloud, Android backup, or anonymous analytics data as belonging to a specific person remotely.
